The German starlet has addressed speculation surrounding his future amid links with various top European clubs.
After an explosive 2022–23 season, Youssoufa Moukoko of Borussia Dortmund is a hot topic on the transfer market. A number of elite teams, including Barcelona, have expressed interest in the 17-year-old as a result of that and the fact that his contract expires in the summer.
In just 14 Bundesliga games this season, Moukoko has already scored six goals and assisted on four more. The young forward was consequently called up to the Germany national team roster for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
While he is overseas representing his country, rumors about his future are still circulating, with Barcelona being mentioned as a possible move for Moukoko.
The Catalan giants are interested in signing a young forward who can fill in for Robert Lewandowski and develop into a first-team role over the following several years because they anticipate losing Memphis Depay either in January or at the end of the current campaign.
Age, promise, and the possibility of free agency the following year make Moukoko the perfect choice for the financially troubled Catalan giants.
In a recent press conference, Moukoko was asked about his future. He insisted that he was content with Borussia Dortmund, but he did not rule out other options.
‘Whatever happens, I'll make the decision. I sense the coach's assurance and I’m really at ease in Dortmund. You will ultimately discover whether I stay or not’, according to Moukoko, who was quoted by SPORT.
