In La Liga, FC Barcelona are currently right behind arch rivals Real Madrid after they slipped up against Girona last weekend.
With the gap now down to one point at the top of LaLiga, the Catalan club will be looking to close down the gap completely tomorrow.
We have put together a set of eleven players who are expected to make Xavi’s starting line up.
Starters:
Ter Stegen got a well needed rest during the mid-week UCL game and should be ready to retake his spot between the sticks.
Balde has been playing right back in recent weeks and might continue to do so with Hector Bellerin unable to find a consistent run of form, which leaves the left back spot for Jordi Alba, the Spaniard is most likely going to claim the left back spot ahead of Marcos Alonso.
In central back, Pique ha more than earned the right to start his final two games before his retirement and next to him should be Jules Kounde as he along with several others were rested during the mid-week game vs Viktoria Plzen. He should be fit enough to play the upcoming match.
In Midfield, Sergio Busquets, Frenkie De Jong and Pedri who were all left out of the midweek UCL clash should all be fit to start this game.
Players like Gavi and Pablo Torre could easily feature in this game as well.
In attack, It’s Robert Lewandowski who will most likely start as the centre-forward again after being completely dropped from the UCL travelling team. The striker will play as part of the front three.
Ferran Torres has been playing really well in these last few games, contributing to four goals and one assist in the last six games. He should get the nod at left-wing, with Ousmane Dembele expected to return on the right side although it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see Raphinha back in the starting line up after having a great game mid week.
