The Zamora Trophy - a football award created in 1958 - goes to the goalkeeper with the most goal-to-games ratio in a single LaLiga season, with it's current holder being Sevilla's Yacine Bonou following the completion of the 2021/22 LaLiga season.
The Moroccan finshed the season with an impressive 0.77 goal per game ratio - conceding 24 goals in 31 appearances - clinching the the Zamora Trophy.
Barcelona goalkeeper and German International, Marc Andre Ter Stegen has been on a high fly this season conceding 4 goals in 13 appearances for the Blaugranas -With an incredible 86.7% save percentage in LaLiga this season - This is twice lesser than Rui Silva - Portuguese and Real Betis goalkeeper - who up until now has conceded eight goals in 11 appearances.
One out of many standout performance for the man in form in the league was the home game against Celta Vigo on October 9th 2022, where he made 4 crucial saves to keep the score 1-0 in favour of Barcelona till full time, owing to a Pedri goal in the 17th minute, 3 of those saves came from inside the box 18. One of the notable saves was against Iago Aspas around the 80th minute mark denying the Spanish striker in a 1v1 situation.
However, the UCL campaign for both Barcelona and the player this season ended in a not so good fashion as Ter Stegen conceded 10 goals in 5 appearances, with Barçelona relegated into the Europa League.
The German having stayed at Barcelona for 8 years has never won the coveted price, however it'd be ridiculous to bet against the German considering his spectacular form this season.
