The Uruguayan Hero |
This was what could possibly be Luis Suarez's last ever World Cup appearance and how painfully ironic that he should win it only to leave the pitch in tears.
Probably the literal manifestation of “I've tried so hard and got so far. But in the End, it doesn’t even matter...”

Heart-wrenching |
Given the spectacular legacy Suarez has had at the World Cup, it is utterly heartbreaking how his last dance ended even before reaching the Knock-outs of the tournament. A fall from grace that Luisito had never faced before, unlike many footballing greats such as Pele and Ronaldo who had been knocked out of WC group stages in the past.
Those incredible equalizers and winners scored and assisted against the likes of England, Portugal, Russia, Mexico and more as one of the most integral part of Uruguay's glimmering performances across the last three World Cups, can never be termed as anything short of sensational.

Luis Suarez:One of a kind |
Be it the handball controversy or the biting incident, nothing will ever eradicate the Fantabulous run EL PISTOLERO has had at the greatest stage of World Football.
The ultimate villain. A flawed genius. Term him how you will, but Luis "El Pistolero" Suarez will always be the Greatest number 9 in the pantheon of the greats.
So long, King. Love you till Kingdom come.
