FC Barcelona to make a move in january for Dutch star

Cody Gakpo is one of the hottest properties emerging from the Netherlands and is attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs. 

FC Barcelona have been keeping tabs on him for some time and are reportedly ready to make a move when the transfer window opens in January 2023. The 22-year-old winger has been in scintillating form in the Eredivisie this season, scoring nine goals and providing 12 assists in 14 appearances. 

His form has seen him win international recognition with the Netherlands, and he has been shining in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, scoring three goals in four games so far. Gakpo’s performances have not gone unnoticed, and Barcelona are said to be ready to make an offer that could see him become the latest Dutch star to join their ranks. 

The Catalan giants have a long tradition of signing Dutch players, such as Johan Cruyff, Ronald Koeman and Marc Overmars, and Gakpo could become the latest addition to their star-studded ranks. It remains to be seen if the move comes to fruition, but Gakpo is certainly showing all the signs of being a star of the future.
