Supercopa de Espana Displayed to the Fans

Barcelona beat Getafe 1-0 at the Nou Camp as the Catalans sealed all 3 points.

The Supercopa de Espana Trophy was displayed to the Fans before the game - a final where Barcelona beat Real Madrid 3-1 to bring the Title home.

Sergio Busquets was given a special tribute to mark his historic 700 appearances in a Blaugrana shirt as the home fans cheered and applauded their Captain.

A rather important League fixture with the title race sizzling hot, Barcelona dominated well over Getafe during the entirety of 90 minutes in spite of having rested key players namely Robert Lewandowski and Frenkie de Jong. 

Pedri Gonzalez scored the only goal of the tie from a Raphinha assist, 5 minutes past the half an hour mark.

Barcelona is yet to lose a fixture where the 19 year old Maestro had registered himself a goal, and it wasn’t any different against Geyafe. In spite of numerous chances created the scoreboard remained static throughout the game and the Catalans took all 3 points home. 

Marc Andre Ter Stegen conjured a terrific save to deny an open goal and ended the fixture with his 13th cleansheet of the season, currently the most in European Top 5 League. 

With Barcelona sitting at the top of La Liga with 44 points, 3 points ahead of second place Real Madrid and a stunning Goal Difference of +30, it remains to be seen if the Catalan giants are indeed destined to lift their 27th League Title and be crowned Champions of Spain.
