8 Point Lead in La Liga and the Challenges in Europe

With the 2-0 victory against Cadiz at the Nou Camp, Barcelona have yet again restored their 8 point lead atop La Liga.

Goals from Sergi Roberto and Robert Lewandowski saw the Catalans seal a much needed victory at home ahead of their second leg clash vs Manchester United

Sergi Roberto scored the first goal vs Cadiz
With the lead in the league table supposedly secure for the time being, Barcelona's real concerns now lie with thier upcoming clash at Old Trafford.

After the rather mediocre first leg at home, Barcelona NEED to put up a solid display on Thursday against Eric Ten Hag's Manchester United to proceed into the Round of 16 of the UEL.

Ferran Torres put a dazzling display
Marcus Rashford's scintillating performance in the first leg has surely alarmed coach Xavi Hernandez, and the Barca boss will have to make necessary changes to the squad in the absence of crucial players namely Pedri and Dembele

Whether Sergio Busquets will be available to start on Thursday is a question that remains to be seen, but Barcelona will truly have to up their game if they look to come out on top at Old Trafford.

Next stop - Old Trafford.
Amid their consecutive successes in La Liga, Xavi Hernandez's men have accommodated themselves a comfortable lead atop the point table - but their European challenges still seem fairly difficult to ace.

Will the Blaugranas continue to humble the Red Devils in the same fashion they have been doing for the most of the last two decades? Fingers crossed for Thursday.
